Whitewater training has been going since 1996 and is South Africa's oldest operating whitewater Kayak School and Guide Training Centre. Based in the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site on the Vaal River only an hour drive south of Johannesburg . Alll the instructors at Whitewater Training are registered guides with APA (African Paddling Association http://www.apa.org.za).

KAYAKING

Kayak schools, ranging from rolling clinics and Beginner schools to more advanced kayaking techniques are provided. Whitewater Training runs trips and expeditions throughout Africa .

Whitewater Training is fully endorsed by the African Paddling Association Instructor council and operates in accordance with its constitution and training mandate as well as the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and the NQF.

Whitewater Training is one of only 2 such APA accredited, full time training centres.
Guide courses offered include:

• APA River Guide
• Trip leader instruction
• Evaluation

Whitewater Training also provides and retails all necessary safety equipment and gear needed and used on the courses.   SWIFTWATER RESCUE

Whitewater Training offers courses in recreational and professional Swift Water Rescue, aimed at kayakers, canoeists, rafters and adventure racers.

First Aid

Level 1,2 & 3 First Aid courses for both River and Adventure guides.
